Founded in 1988, Matra Plast’s experience and expertise guarantee its products are generally considered the industry benchmark for quality and performance for large format printers and converters throughout North America.
One of the ways that Hi-Core® distinguishes itself is by its high dyne levels. In order to react well with inks and adhesives, the sheets are subjected to an in-line electrical process called Corona Treatment, measured in units called dynes. Dyne levels of 42 to 43 are considered adequate for printing, but dyne levels degrade over time. And since sheets may linger in warehouses for weeks or months, Hi-Core® insists on a minimum level of 55 dynes. This ensures that, even if stored for long periods of time, Hi-Core® sheets will always allow the adhesion of virtually any ink or glue.
After three decades of growth, Matra Plast has found its formula for success: creating outstanding products by investing in custom-engineered, fully computerized extruders that are regularly upgraded with the most sophisticated digital control systems available. As well as offering unparalled customer service.
Matra Plast’s mission is to continue to be recognized by its customers as the industry leader in quality and service and to create a workplace that is challenging, satisfying and dynamic for its employees.
